“I am thrilled at the return of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “It has become America’s Sunday night guilty pleasure, while at the same time, raising millions for charity. This season is the best yet. Buckle your seatbelts.”

We’re now three weeks into the show, so what have we missed so far? I guess most importantly, we need to know which celebrities are in the line up.
First off the women’s team, which they have named A.S.A.P (an acronym for Artists, Singers, Authors and Professionals for a Purpose). It includes NeNe Leakes, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, supermodel Niki Taylor, actresses Lisa Rinna and Marlee Matlin, former co-host of The View Star Jones, Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk and singers LaToya Jackson and Dionne Warwick.
On the men’s team, “Backbone”, you will find rapper Lil Jon, former baseball player Jose Canseco, former winner of Survivor, Richard Hatch, actor Gary Busey, former teen idol David Cassidy and singers Meat Loaf, John Rich and Mark McGrath.
For this season, Donald Trump’s youngest son, Eric has joined his siblings Ivanka and Donald Jr as advisors, along with George Ross, long-time Trump employee.
In week one, each team had to sell as much pizza as possible and the women’s team were the outright winners earning $115,268 compared to the men’s earnings of just $54,104. Despite being the project manager and Trump being unhappy with his leadership, Richard Hatch survived and David Cassidy was the first to be fired for his lack of contribution on the task.
Week Two saw the teams creating a children’s book and performing it to a group of four to five year olds. Thanks to their original and entertaining concept, the men won and Lisa Rinna was fired from A.S.A.P for her poor leadership skills as project manager.
So onto this Sunday’s episode where the third task for each team was to create an outdoor camping experience by branding and marketing two RV’s for one of America’s largest RV and outdoor retailers, and then pitch the vehicles to curious onlookers in Madison Square Park.
Gary Busey stole the show in this episode as the leader of Backbone, which Lil Jon referred to as a “train wreck”. Despite this, Busey still launched the men into the winner’s circle once again as overall they showcased the company’s image more successfully than the women did. Niki Taylor, project manager for A.S.A.P took full responsibility for her team’s loss and did not want to choose anyone else to take into the boardroom with her, so ultimately she became the third celebrity to be fired.
The next episode of Celebrity Apprentice airs on NBC on March 27th where the celebrities must produce a commercial for a video phone.
